Who we are
Greenogue Sports and Charity Fund.
Sandymark has ben organising the Greenogue Sports and Charity Fund for many years. Like most companies, Sandymark and Greenogue Management get many requests for support from all kinds of organizations across South Dublin and beyond. And while all of the requests are genuine and worthy of support, the fact is we can’t support them all in any meaningful way. Therefore we decided a long time ago that we would concentrate our support on local clubs and organisations and would attempt to do so in as meaningful a way as is possible. For this reason, any money raised goes mainly to support volunteers in Newcastle and Rathcoole. We also think it’s reasonable to concentrate our support in the area we do business and where our collective businesses have the biggest impact. Greenogue Management No2 Clg, which is the owners management company in Greenogue, contributes to the fund every year. Separately, Sandymark Ltd contributes and organises various fund raising events.
The Greenogue Corporate GOAL mile is our effort to support a very worthwhile global charity and at the same time raise some badly needed money to support local clubs and organizations. This event also provides other companies in the area an opportunity to make a donation at this time of year. The making of a donation does two things. Firstly, and obviously, it helps local voluntary organizations, and secondly it demonstrates the donor’s commitment to excellent corporate social responsibility.
Some of the local organisations who regularly benefit from the fund includes;
St Finian’s GAA club, Commercials GAA club, Peamount United Soccer Club, St Finian’s NS, Newcastle Tidy Towns, Newcastle Youth Club, Newcastle Folk Group Singers, St Francis FC, Rathcoole Community Council, St Vincent De Paul, St Marks Community School, WMAI, Newcastle Foroige Club, Newcastle Baby & Toddler Group, Setanta Muay Thai, Polio Survivors Group, Ruby Dodd Go Fund me, Crumlin Children’s Hospital, Rathcoole Christmas Lights, A Helping Hand, Rathcoole Community Council, Newcastle Lyons Development Trust
